This quote is summed up by one of my favorite cliche idioms- “First things first.” which is so elementary and simple that we often forget to use the principle. Start small, take a first step. Do not let anything grow into bigger problems by letting them sit there unattended. Tend to the hard things as well as the easy because the hard things do not get easier- they become more and more difficult. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.
